WELCOME TO ACATALEPSY.

Welcome to Acatalepsy's third EMP/ATP meme! Our players suggested this meme as a way to advertise the game and toy around prior to our Test Drive Meme on March 24th. We won't be giving out the prompts ahead of time, but here's a fun clue!

Some quick facts about Acatalepsy before we drive in!

✔️ Astoria is the game's main NPC! She is usually around during your time at the Temple.
✔️ The TDM always takes place in the Temple of Beginnings, the home-base of the Game! We will have several prompts available for the players to choose from.
✔️ Expect some light-hearted shenanigans for the TDM. ;) The last TDM can be found here!
✔️ Established characters will be at the Temple to greet the potential new characters.
✔️ the TDM threads are considered canon if the players so choose!
✔️ Acatalepsy has a 100 player cap. You may app/reserve one character per round. We currently have 52/100 players in game.
✔️ Reserves open March 24th at 9:00 PM EST. This time, our TDM and Reserves opening are happening on the same date to work with our latest world jump wrap-up, so keep an eye on our reserve page!
✔️ To avoid difficulties with player placement, there will be a reserve cap. This means that 48 new players will be allowed to reserve.
✔️ Returning players will not be affected by the reserve cap.
✔️ Acatalepsy has an eight (8) character cast cap. Here is our taken list!
✔️ Applications open April 1st at 9:00 PM EST and close April 5th at 11:59 PM EST.
✔️ Reserves will be given first priority. People who do not reserve can still apply in the case of more slots becoming available post AC (aka if all 48 reserves do not app), but will be considered after reserved applications are processed.
✔️ We have an every-other-month app cycle!

ACATALEPSY 101

Acatalepsy is a plot-driven world-hopping RPG, in which characters travel from world to world through the powers of Astoria, the Head Witch of the Circle that your character has been drafted into. Your mission, should you choose to accept it? Save the universe.

All magical items are nerfed upon arrival, but Astoria allows you to keep one (1) magical weapon/weapon. It may not work within the Temple of Beginnings, but it may work on your travels. Only time will tell.

To make up for the lack of powers, your character is gifted an ability by Astoria herself. If you ask why? Astoria will simply smile and say, Because. ♥ . That gift can be anything from creating fire to creating spontaneous birthday cakes to rain from the sky for about an hour -- however, Astoria does not grant anything too game-breaking to her Circle members. She does, however, get creative in her gifts -- she likes to think she's funny.

Every decision a character makes can change the course of the game, and Astoria keeps a watchful eye over those in her service. The universe is full of problems, troubles, war -- and your character, through their travels, has the opportunity to alter fate.

Hang on tight. The universe, as Astoria likes to say, awaits.

Yes, I like this plan. Bring a Steven :D

These are all amazing power creation possibilities ~~though how are pink crystal palaces LESS ridiculous than icey crystal palaces?~~! I feel like 1 is the most flexible, though 3 could definitely be interesting since, for the most part, Steven would be fusing with humans other than Connie and I could see where that might have interesting possibilities. Especially if fusing with Steven gave them a boost in power or something?

It probably isn't as complicated as you think. I briefly played in a Steven Universe based game for a while and whenever we played a fusion character it was just a matter of collaborating on the dialogue and action so that both parties agreed about how it would play out. It was kinda fun really, especially coming up with appearance and personality as well :D You'd have some fun avenues to pursue, though of course this would be a power dependent on CR and I can see where that could be a little intimidating.

LOL oh it's definitely not less ridiculous CONCEPTUALLY, I just meant that he wouldn't be as crazy OP with it as Elsa is (that castle building scene is some pretty intense levels of power) In terms of concept pink crystal castles is probably more ridiculous, really. But that's okay, because it's not like Steven isn't ridiculous in general.

I've had Steven fuse with people in games before and it's definitely fun. It's the relying on CR thing that's the main drawback - I'm not sure I want to stress myself out about collaborating with other people OOCly every time Steven uses his powers. Intimidating is definitely the word. I'll think about it a while longer and see if I feel up to it, and if not I'll probably go with the feelings crystals. Thanks for your input, and thanks for the enthusiasm.

I see you are apping Carmen, which is exciting. It actually reminds me, I should watch that show sometime soon.

This is all true.

And no problem. I'm excited for Steven no matter what his ability will be 8D. Besides, the past two events have shown that the mods like to shake things up with abilities sometimes...so there's always a chance to play with things in the future.

There's always the TDM method where you can try out different powers during the test and see which you feel works best for you. o/

And yes, it's a good show and easy to get through since it's only 9 episodes. I enjoyed it for sure and there are some fun nods to past incarnations o/
