WELCOME TO ACATALEPSY.

Welcome to Acatalepsy's third EMP/ATP meme! Our players suggested this meme as a way to advertise the game and toy around prior to our Test Drive Meme on March 24th. We won't be giving out the prompts ahead of time, but here's a fun clue!

Some quick facts about Acatalepsy before we drive in!

✔️ Astoria is the game's main NPC! She is usually around during your time at the Temple.
✔️ The TDM always takes place in the Temple of Beginnings, the home-base of the Game! We will have several prompts available for the players to choose from.
✔️ Expect some light-hearted shenanigans for the TDM. ;) The last TDM can be found here!
✔️ Established characters will be at the Temple to greet the potential new characters.
✔️ the TDM threads are considered canon if the players so choose!
✔️ Acatalepsy has a 100 player cap. You may app/reserve one character per round. We currently have 52/100 players in game.
✔️ Reserves open March 24th at 9:00 PM EST. This time, our TDM and Reserves opening are happening on the same date to work with our latest world jump wrap-up, so keep an eye on our reserve page!
✔️ To avoid difficulties with player placement, there will be a reserve cap. This means that 48 new players will be allowed to reserve.
✔️ Returning players will not be affected by the reserve cap.
✔️ Acatalepsy has an eight (8) character cast cap. Here is our taken list!
✔️ Applications open April 1st at 9:00 PM EST and close April 5th at 11:59 PM EST.
✔️ Reserves will be given first priority. People who do not reserve can still apply in the case of more slots becoming available post AC (aka if all 48 reserves do not app), but will be considered after reserved applications are processed.
✔️ We have an every-other-month app cycle!

ACATALEPSY 101

Acatalepsy is a plot-driven world-hopping RPG, in which characters travel from world to world through the powers of Astoria, the Head Witch of the Circle that your character has been drafted into. Your mission, should you choose to accept it? Save the universe.

All magical items are nerfed upon arrival, but Astoria allows you to keep one (1) magical weapon/weapon. It may not work within the Temple of Beginnings, but it may work on your travels. Only time will tell.

To make up for the lack of powers, your character is gifted an ability by Astoria herself. If you ask why? Astoria will simply smile and say, Because. ♥ . That gift can be anything from creating fire to creating spontaneous birthday cakes to rain from the sky for about an hour -- however, Astoria does not grant anything too game-breaking to her Circle members. She does, however, get creative in her gifts -- she likes to think she's funny.

Every decision a character makes can change the course of the game, and Astoria keeps a watchful eye over those in her service. The universe is full of problems, troubles, war -- and your character, through their travels, has the opportunity to alter fate.

Hang on tight. The universe, as Astoria likes to say, awaits.

WANT: Are you a local roleplayer, but interested in being the chainsaw, rather than the scalpel in any given situation? Are you a misfit who sometimes manages to screw things up for the better? Then boy, do we have the team for you.

Are you the gruff surly sort, who tends to punch first, ask questions later? Perhaps you like setting things on fire, have been waiting all your life to dust a vampire, and secretly likes writing xenophilic romance novels in your spare time. Then Mick Rory is the boy for you. Gruff, acerbic but fiercely loyal but will be ready to burn down anything that stands in his way.

Maybe you’re a smart softie who just wants to make the world a better place. Then you might just be a Ray Palmer You have a penchant for packed lunches and are unrelentingly positive, even to the point of delusion. To you size is just another setting on your ATOM suit, and you have packed lunches ready for the next adventure.

Then again, maybe one of our badass ladies is more your speed. Perhaps you’re a boss lady in charge, with a soft spot for animals and a complicated relationship with your future. Amaya Jiwe is the girl for you, and don’t you worry about that depowered totem. Even without her skills she’s still a black belt and a diplomat. Let’s hear it for some capable ladies.

Maybe you’re leaning more towards a speed demon sweetheart with a heart of gold and a knack for running faster than the speed of sound. Wally West is your man. He kills at karaoke, is ready to brighten anyone’s day, and just wants to do good – which is really all you can ask from anyone. Except for maybe slowing down to let the rest of the team catch up. Just a smidge.

Or there's a chance that you're a soft hearted historian, who enjoys music, pop culture references, and fixing history! You also have a skin of steel and the impulse control of a five year-old but I'm sure that neither of those things will get you into trouble here.

And last but certainly not least, oh captain our captain, Sara Lance is always welcome. A badass ninja assassin who's the heart and soul of the Waverider, she is ready to take charge, kick ass and take names. We all need a leader and team mom to kick our butts into gear sometimes: it could be you.

A badass reincarnated warrior priestess, who is just trying to find herself and maybe escape her repetitious love life.	A calm cool and collected ice king who comes in two convenient flavors – sharp, snarky thief, or part-time freedom fighter, part time grief counselor.	Former Time Dad who brought them all together and maybe gets his brain scrambled a little too much.

If you want to just make us cry, honestly.	Honorary little brother, and former mechanic of their beautiful baby, the Waverider.	… Former villain, who’s possibly on a redemption tour? (Look, I love Nora, don’t judge me.)

So really, there is indeed something for everyone.
